Psychologically driven open-world RPG
Figment 2: Creed Valley is an immersive and atmospheric role-playing game that takes place within the mind of the main character. While appearing disjointed at first glance, the player will still have to navigate through several mental landscapes so that they can eventually restore order. Single-player and co-op modes are supported.
This game is the direct sequel to the original Figment, and once again, not everything is as it may seem. This follow-up provides a unique level of suspense, and naturally, players are forced to rely on their wits while thinking outside of the box.
An intriguing narrative
Figment 2 places players within a dream-like world in which things are constantly changing. It is necessary to interact with the mind of the main character (Dusty) in order to progress to more advanced levels.
Shifting perspectives
Another unique characteristic of this game involves the ability to switch between two states of mind during active gameplay. Users can toggle from open-minded to close-minded settings. Each of these options will transform the nearby environment and unlock even more secrets.
Strength in numbers
Unlike the original Figment, Dusty is now accompanied by a reliable sidekick named Piper. It is possible to control this character while solving puzzles and traversing challenging landscapes. Indeed, many of the tasks will require the use of Piper in order to be completed.
Through the mind's eye
In terms of how reality and fantasy are seamlessly blended into a single adventure, Figment 2: Creed Valley is somewhat similar to other games, such as Melatonin. When this plot is then combined with timed puzzles and an original soundtrack paired with the scenes, a truly amazing experience awaits.
